New works from Cornwall.....

Simon is currently working on a range of new music:

Missa Alme Pater

A complete setting of all the musical parts of the mass for trumpet, organ, choir and congregation, including the use of the beautiful plainchant of Mass X from the missal. The work also includes two new hymns; Videmus Nunc, a motet for unaccompanied choir setting 1 Corinthians 13, 12-13; That we may be healed: a beautiful prayer calling for a transformation of the way we perceive others; Alme Pater, Jesu magne: a setting of words from an 11th century Beneventan Troporum.

The complete mass was first performed on 17th May 2008, as part of the Daphne Dumaurier Festival. The venue will be the church of St. Andrew, Tywardreath.
