Sing! An exciting and entertaining anthology of fifty arrangements, editions and compositions, with illustrations by Jonathan Owen. This book was launched in January 2010 aboard M.V. Discovery in Singapore.
Illuminations Evening & Night Prayer from Common Worship for cantor, oboe, cello, unison voices and organ. Poetry by St. Symeon the New Theologian, an Eastern mystic of the Uncreated Light, and plainchant themes illuminate the liturgy. This is peaceful and contemplative music designed to be performed by candlelight in smaller churches.
Triptych for upper voices and organ: three short but rewarding pieces in one, two and three parts. Poscaders a Deeze (in Cornish), Fæder ure (in Anglo-Saxon) and Se do bheatha a Mhuire (in Gaelic). April 2010.
Missa Brevis Sancti Petri Completed on the Feast of the Annunciation, 2010, a short setting of Common Worship Order One for cantor, unison voices and organ, with a few surprises!
Mistral Lyrics New for 2010! A cantata for narrator, children's choir, soprano solo, SATB chorus and chamber ensemble. Based on the beautiful poetry of the Chilean Nobel Laureate Gabriela Mistral, this work traces the passage of time throughout the day as the course of life, interwoven with the poet's tragic relationship with her adopted son. Scoring for flute, flugelhorn, vibraphone, piano and double bass. Duration c. 80 mins.
Missa Alme Pater
A complete setting of all the musical parts of the mass for trumpet, organ, choir and congregation, including the use of the beautiful plainchant of Mass X from the missal. The work also includes two new hymns; Videmus Nunc, a motet for unaccompanied choir setting 1 Corinthians 13, 12-13; That we may be healed: a beautiful prayer calling for a transformation of the way we perceive others; Alme Pater, Jesu magne: a setting of words from an 11th century Beneventan Troporum. The complete mass was first performed on 17th May 2008, as part of the Daphne du Maurier Festival.
